The themed festivals in Georgia

Georgia is a country of rich, century old traditions that actively root in the local culture. Here, you’ll find all the different festivals that are unique to the state. And as Georgians love celebrating everything from the birthday of Tbilisi to the harvesting of the grapes, festivals always feature food, music and good wine. There’s no way to experience the culture better than taking part in these celebrations.

Tbilisoba
Tbilisi comes out to party for the autumn harvest and the city’s founding, centered around the Old Town and Rike Park, over a weekend in October.

Shatiloba

The fest runs in Shatili – an increasingly popular destination for Europeans. You can run into folk music and dance, horse races and Georgian wrestling.

Beshumoba
It takes place in Beshumi – a village in mountainous Adjara. Besides watching the horse racing one can hike to Green Lake at Goderdzi Pass.
